After qualifying at a regional event in Hemel Hempstead, Eva (6NH) and Oskar (6JM) travelled to Worksop College, near Sheffield, for the ISA National Championships of Cross-Country on Saturday. In a stunning setting, both pupils rose to the occasion with outstanding performances. After pulling-off with the leading pack in the early stages, Eva battled throughout the race to take the lead, but was overtaken as the race neared its conclusion. Eva was only a few yards off first place, as the race culminated in a sprint finish for the line. Eva’s never-give-up attitude allowed her to power home and edge in front to cross the line first and become the U11 Girls Champion! Oskar faired extremely well too, settling into the race nicely. Giving it his all, Oskar battled hard to place fifteenth and cross the line first for the region of London North. We are all so proud of Eva and Oskar and how they continue to surpass all expectations and challenges they face in sport.
